Super Saturday!

Wasn't yesterday fun? I couldn't get enough of the Royal Wedding! I sure wish my invitation hadn't got lost in the mail and I could have been there!

Here are a few of our own Superstars who deserve the Royal treatment this week!

I love this! I have an old frosted window that I'm sure this will be the inspiration for.
I've been wondering what to do with it.

She used book pages for the banner. How clever!

I love the idea of using old games in shadow boxes. Be sure to go check out all the different game boards she used! I wonder where I packed away all the kids' old games...

How cute is this necklace using fabric, beads, and ribbon?!

These little bracelets are just so simple and darling!

The Royal Wedding!

The day is finally here!

Yes, I've been up since 3:00 AM watching the whole event live! And yes, my whole family thinks I'm nuts! Depending on what time you are reading this, I am either wearing this shirt I made...

and wearing this Will and Kate bracelet I made,

or I'm taking a nap because I'm exhausted from the whole thing!

I've sunk to an all time low!!

I've worried about even posting this, but it's just too funny not to share. I'll apologize right up front if I offend anybody. Greg and I were sitting up at the Lodge with a friend of ours and she pulled this out of a bag.

She had ordered it and it was way too big (no kidding, I thought it was some type of boat). She couldn't return it and ask if I could do something with it.

I made her a purse!

I'm going to fill it with a couple bottled waters when I give it to her.
Get it? Water Bra.

As Larry the Cable guy would say, "Please forgive me for this one"!

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

I am my Mother after all! My sister Vicki and I saw a pillow with that phrase on it a year ago. Since then I've been trying to figure out how to put it on a mirror. I don't know what took me so long to think of etching cream! Duh!

I used my Cricut and cut the words out of vinyl and applied the etching cream.
I painted the frame with crackle medium and white paint.

Making it was the easy part, trying to take a picture of a mirror is another story.

Vicki, this one's for you!

I'm linking Here this week.

Ribbon Washer Necklace

I found this tutorial the other day and knew I had to try it!

I literally sat in front of the computer with my washers and ribbon and did it. It was confusing at first, but once you've added a few washers it all makes sense.

It's so easy and fast once you catch on. I want to try my next one using t-shirt strips instead of ribbon.
I'll let you know if it works out.

Being a Grandma, I have to show you one picture from yesterday. The kids were all outside playing and I made them take another picture (they thought I was done with the camera). I lined them all up and before I snapped, I told them to say, "Hobby Lobby". This is what I got!

Why are they all cracking up?

Happy Easter!

He has Risen Indeed, Alleluia!

Super Saturday!

It's Easter weekend! I at least have everything ready to pack the Easter Baskets, but I still need to dye eggs and go to the grocery store today. Why do I wait until Saturday to go to the store? Every holiday I say I'm not going to do that and here I go again today!

Before I go enjoy a game of Grocery Cart Bumper Cars, look what I found this week!

I love using sheet music for crafts and now I know what to do with the little pieces leftover. This just looks so dainty!

What a great use of old light bulbs!

I'm loving all the creative uses of jute I'm seeing. Especially since I found 2 unopened rolls of it in a closet last week!

How cute is that?! Oh, I'm so happy I found that jute!

This is so clever! Those started out as the $1.00 books at Target!

Wow, Rissa! You did it again! Beautiful!

If you were featured, be sure and a grab a button!

I wish everyone a Happy and Blessed Easter!

I don't follow directions very well!

Not even if they are my own! I was making Jordyn a soccer book purse which my tutorial was here. I was so worried about making the bottom flat (because it was a bigger book), that I forgot all about cutting the fabric wider at the top to open. I had it all sewn before I realized what I had done, so I just went with Plan B. It's now a soccer, colored pencil and marker book.

Now you know, I use the pool table to take my pictures.

It actually turned out to be the perfect size!

I'm not going to admit I screwed up to begin with, so don't tell anyone.
It's our secret!

A Wee Bunny for Tierni

I found this fabulous free pattern Here from Wee Wonderfuls. I'm seriously going to buy her book! Tierni likes to hold little things. She carries them around with her everywhere. Krissi swears she's going to grow up and be a hoarder! I did shrink the pattern 25% so Tierni could carry it around in her little hand.

I made the front and ears using cotton and fleece for the back two sides.

Oh, and also the bottom is fleece.

Here was Greg's brilliant suggestion when I showed this to him. He told me I should go make more and a ball and give her a bowling game. Yeah okay, maybe next year!

Hazel and Honeysuckle

I love the blogging world and the friends you can make all over the world. Rissa lives in Australia and her blog is Hazel and Honeysuckle. She has the most fabulous shop! Here are just a few of my favorites.

Do yourself a favor today and go look around Rissa's blog and shop. You'll be so happy you did!

Happy Wednesday!

Hoo Are You?

It's Tuesday! Let's all go play along at Night Owl Crafting.

Here are the questions this week.

1. What are your plans for Easter?
We'll all go to church together and then come back to our house. Brandon's job every year is to hide the Easter eggs for the little ones.

2. Do you dye eggs for Easter?
Yes, always. I do hope that one of the kids or grandkids are here on Saturday so they can do it for me.

3. What is your favorite Easter candy?
The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup eggs.

4. Do you celebrate the make believe part of Easter and/or the
religious part?

5. What is your favorite part about the Easter holiday?
All being together in church that morning.

See you tomorrow!

Seed Packet Bunny

I used to make these a long time ago when I was doing craft shows every weekend. I kind of forgot about them until seed packets starting popping up in all the stores now.

I'm going to make more with different seeds and animals, but I thought this little guy would be cute on the refrigerator for Easter.

You just make a little stuffed bunny and two paws.
I don't know why there's only one in that picture.

I added magnets to the back (or you could hang it).

I'm sorry for the black background. My refrigerator is stainless and magnets will only stick on the black sides. Doesn't he look happy in there with the seeds?

HERE is where I will be linking to this week.

Happy Monday!

Super Saturday!

Wow, what a week! My blogger issues that I was having is finally fixed (after three days). Turns out, it wasn't just me. The funny thing is, I made a few new friends on the Blogger Help. And my exciting news is Casey at Hot Bliggity Blog is working on a new design for me! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it and can't wait!!

On to this week's Super Stars!

I love the idea of using Chinese noodles with Rice Krispies!

Don't those chocolate butterflies just look too pretty to eat?

I love that little guy! Just too cute!!

I really need someone I know to have a baby so I can make this gift box! Adorable!

Those are popsicle sticks! I know, brilliant!

And last, but not least, we all need an "Awwww" moment.

Does that little face not just warm your heart all over?!

Have a great weekend!
